Seems like everybody is looking for discounts these days and with reason. The market is tough and making money is even tougher. So we all are trying to be as careful as possible with our money, especially when it comes to buying a house. Are you in the market for a home? Seems like foreclosures can be a great opportunity to get a house or condo at a discount price. According to RealtyTrac, the average price paid for a bank-owned foreclosure or short sale in the third quarter was 32% below that of a non-foreclosure, the biggest discount since 2005. New homes as well as existing homes sales went down in the third quarter, foreclosures sales as well tumbled. Since the housing market is so tough even though everything dropped, foreclosures still made up most of the home sales. Expectations for Home Prices

The second quarter of this year suggested that it was a good time to buy a house. The low mortgage interest rates seemed to encourage most Americans to make that buy. At the same time, the home prices seemed to have a hard time to maintain their year-over-year increases. Fewer homeowners believe it's a good time to buy while more expect the prices to drop in the coming year, this according to a Fannie Mae's homeownership survey for the third quarter. So what to do? Based on a survey conducted by MSN.com of more than 3000 homeowners and renters, the Oklahoma local moving specialists found out that 68% think it's time to buy a home that figure is down from 70% of the previous quarter, while 29% think it's a bad time to buy, that figure is up 3%. Nobody really knows for sure if it's a good time to buy or not. Real estate is usually a good investment in the long run, so maybe buying is the way to go. Most people believe that rent is going to increase in the coming year, so instead of forking out money by renting, why not buy that home?
When you do buy that home make sure to use the Oklahoma movers for all your moving needs. They are expert movers and will offer you a great moving experience with no hassles!

Don’t Ruin Your Mortgage

If you want to make sure that your home purchase goes as smoothly as moving with the Oklahoma movers, make sure you follow some basic guideline of home buying. For example, try not to buy any big-ticket items until you actually bought your home. Because banks see that as more added debt. Don’t change jobs. Banks will consider your salary and job stability when offering you a mortgage. So any sudden move can cost you a mortgage. The whole point is to guarantee the back that you can financially provide to pay this big loan you’re asking for. A new career or a change in income can make banks nervous. Make sure you prepare for a credit check, so make sure your credit card payments are made on time as well as your other debts. Remember to leave enough money for your closing costs, so don’t put every last penny towards your home down payment. Closing costs can really add up.

When you have your mortgage and you’re ready to move into your new home, call the Oklahoma moving specialists to transport your moving boxes, quilt-pad wrap your delicate furniture and help you move stress-free.

Such an Easy Move

I didn’t realize moving doesn’t have to be the end of the world. I’ve done it a few times but never with such professional movers like the Oklahoma city movers. They were great, really efficient and knew their stuff. They helped me move all my heavy moving boxes and even wardrobe boxes. Their moving tips online were really helpful and actually helped me plan out my entire move. I took it easy and worked every day just a little bit leading to the actual move. My friend Joulissa told me about this reliable group of movers, she’s worked with them in the past when she lived in Florida for a while. They have an All My Sons of West Palm Beach moving office there so she knew about their superb reputation. I’m so thankful that I listened to her and opted to hire a local Oklahoma City moving company instead of renting a u-haul truck and doing the move with a few friends. This professional was much smoother and faster and the best part is I won’t own anybody any favors. This moving review was by Joulissa F., Oklahoma City

Private Mortgage Insurance

Starting October 4th, 2010 FHA annual mortgage insurance premiums will match those of private mortgage insurance. The All My Sons of Oklahoma moving team annual premium will increase from .55% to .9%. However, the premium people have to pay upfront decreases from 2.25% to only 1%. Even if homebuyers don’t pay the premium up front, they’ll save money each month because the mortgage principal will be lower. For buyers who pay the upfront premium with cash, savings will be there for the first 58 months but then the cost will go up compared to the old law. If in that time a home goes up in value, then there could be savings with the new FHS fee structure. The FHA annual premiums can be canceled if your loan-to-value ratio reaches 78%.
If you find a home that you can afford a mortgage on and are ready to move in, call the Oklahoma movers for your stress-free move into your new place. Mortgage Trends

According to MSN online there are trends in the mortgage area for this late summer season. The first, the Oklahoma movers found out, is that people don’t know what to expect. Interest rates are really low and predictions were off in terms of surging up home sales. Some are even saying that there might have to be an increase in interest rate for people to feel motivated to buy homes. Refinancing will not be available to many is another trend this season. Some homeowners just can’t refinance because their homes have depreciated so much. There are a few programs in place from the Obama administration, the Oklahoma movers found out, but refinancing is still not for everyone. Another trend regarding real estate and mortgages is that the FHA is getting stricter with rules and regulations. Back in August, it planned to decrease how much a seller can contribute to closing costs, from 6% to 3%. Other changes include a 10% down payment on a home instead of 3.5%. Fixed rate Jumbo loans are easier to get however they are still overpriced.

Moving Was Not A Problem

Moving wasn’t a big deal because I had the Oklahoma City local movers do it for me. I found them online and read so much information about their moving services. I always research online and even shop online. I find it to be so convenient. This was the first time I moved out though. I moved out of my parents’ house because I was still living there while I finished school. After graduation, I spent some time looking for an apartment rental close by. I finally found something I like, with a big kitchen. I love to cook and entertain friends by throwing dinner parties. I needed professional movers like All My Sons of Oklahoma because I had inherited a bunch of furniture from my parents’ house to help me get started and settled in my new home. I had also accumulated a lot of stuff, books, clothing, my desk, computer and more personal belongings all packed in various moving boxes of all sizes. The Oklahoma moving specialists were great. They helped me assemble my bed in my new rental unit, moved every box to the fourth floor of my rental building and did a great job. For my first moving experience, this was a great one. Thank you so much All My Sons of Oklahoma movers. This moving review was by Vicky, F. Oklahoma

Home Sizes

The Oklahoma local movers found out that for about 20 years the size of the average American home kept growing. It peaked in 2007 at 2,521 square feet, but when the housing market crashed, the home sizes have been declining. These days home buyers are looking for smaller homes, because of their budgets and the economic uncertainty. Unemployment rate is high and people are immersed in foreclosure talks, short sales and other housing catastrophes. So it’s now owner, home buyers are being careful and sometimes even opting for housing that’s a little under their budget, just to be on the safe side. This ‘smaller home’ trend is apparently not just in the U.S., the All My Sons of Oklahoma learnt. There are 21 square-feet capsule apartments for rent in Beijing. New York’s smallest apartment is 175-square feet. According to real estate search engine, Trulia, 37% of people surveyed said their ideal home is smaller than 2,000 square feet and only 9% wanted a home that was 3,200 square feet.If you’re renting or buying a home, big or small, call the Oklahoma moving specialists for your stress-free residential moving services.

Inspect Your Rental Unit

If you’re thinking about moving into the Oklahoma City area, the Oklahoma City local movers suggest you do your own inspection when choosing a rental apartment. Some places will allow tenants to do their own move-in inspection and you can look out for many scratches, damaged panels, scuff marks, appliances that don’t work, stains on carpets, anything that can be used later to keep your deposit. When you do your inspection, make sure your landlord is there with you, documenting everything there. Take pictures, take notes and you can both sign in agreement. When it comes to get your deposit back, you’ll have proof that the imperfections that are part of the rental apartment are not due to you living there, but they were there prior to you moving in.

If you need help moving into a rental building, call the Oklahoma City movers for your stress-free residential moving services. All My Sons of Oklahoma City will move you in in no time and efficiently. We’re backed by four generations of moving experience and we’re experts even in commercial moves. New Ways to Fill Vacant Homes

The local Oklahoma City moving specialists learnt that there are new types of properties available for Section 8 tenants. This can be a win-win situation for both landlords and people looking for a change. According to the Wall Street Journal, landlords in areas like Las Vegas are starting to market their upscale homes to low-income renters who receive aid like Section 8. These landlords are keeping their homes occupied, helping to reduce crime that usually vacant homes attract and get a guaranteed payment delivered electronically. Cheaper To Upgrade Your Home

It might not be the best time to sell your house because the real estate economy is not what it used to be, however it might be the right time to upgrade and update your home thanks to low-cost improvement projects. Building materials are cheaper and contractors are charging less than they use to. Right now, the estimate is that you can save almost 10% on the cost of renovations. Plus, a home improvement today can mean you can sell for more when the time is right the Oklahoma City local movers say. In fact, according to a study done by Remodeling Magazine you can expect to recoup about two-thirds of your costs on a typical home improvement if you sell your home within a year after completing the renovation. So All My Sons of Oklahoma suggest you choose carefully what those home improvement projects will be. Think about what renovations potential home buyers will care about most, a fancy swimming pool in the back or an upgrade kitchen? New windows for better isolation or new flooring? Consider the urgency of some of the home repairs as well like a leaking roof.

Is It Time To Buy a Condo

During the real estate decline, the condominium market was hit really bad, dropping in from 20 to 60 percent in prices. However this past quarter, according to real estate professionals, the average prices for condos have remained flat. And compared to March of last year, in 2010, sales for condos were up 40%. So, in the online area, through articles and blogs, the question that comes up is whether now is a good time to buy a condo apartment or not. On one hand the mortgage rates are low and there’s a big inventory of condo units to choose from, on the other hand having the deal financed might be hard because banks have stricter guidelines these days. Some banks ask for 20% down payment on a condo and can even ask for upfront maintenance fee in escrow. The local Oklahoma City movers suggest you work with a professional realtor to help you figure out where and when is best to buy a condo. If you find something you like, don’t forget to offer less than you’re ready to pay for. This way, you’ll be able to counter-offer and ready to move in thanks to All My Sons of Oklahoma City.

Don’t Leave Out Valuables During An Open House

All My Sons of Oklahoma City is reminding you not to leave out any items that are valuable when you’re showing your house in the hopes of getting it sold. Make sure things like heirlooms, jewelry, confidential documents, even designer items and other valuables are tucked away in a safe place. You should even consider placing some items in a safe deposit box. Just last May, someone was suspected of stealing 20,000 worth of jewels from an open house that took place in Texas. Even if you’re realtor is present when you’re showcasing your home to potential home buyers as well as your spouse, the Oklahoma City local movers remind you that it’s still a better idea to keep everything hidden. Two or three or even four people supervising doesn’t necessarily keep your things safe. When potential home buyers are scoping out your home, they’re opening drawers, going into bedrooms, opening closets and so on. So it’s best to either have a safe at home or rent one form your local bank. And remember, anything can be stolen including designer handbags, luxury pens, and expensive sunglasses so safeguard your personal belongings.

The Oklahoma Movers present House of the Year 2010

According to MSN.com, the editors of Country Living magazine teamed up with homebuilder New World Home to create the 2010 House of the Year. It looks like a classic country cottage but it’s a modular, green home. All My Sons of Oklahoma movers found out it was on display at the World Financial Center Plaza in Manhattan. It’s a two-bedroom, 1,600 square feet home that comes with fireplaces, oversized windows and a 1,100 square-foot wrap-around porch. The interior of this House of the Year, called The Hudson, is designed by New York designer Katie Ridder which featured an eco-friendly theme throughout the rooms. The construction of the house took 100 days at the factory but it just took a few hours to put the modular pieces together and build it on-site. The Hudson home costs about $395,000. Country Living magazine features more modular homes ranging from 1,100 to 2,300 square feet from $175 to $225 per square foot.

You Moved In, Now Lower Your Cable Bill

Moving into a new place does add up in terms of expenses. There’s the rent or mortgage that’s due, the moving services expenses, the new furniture or repairs, utility bills, sometimes paint and many first payments that add up. Cable television is another big expense. With so many various channels out there and options of carriers, it can get expensive. All My Sons of Oklahoma is here to help you with tips to find the perfect television package for you and your family, so you can get great entertainment at an affordable price. First think of what you want. What kind of programs and channels are you most interested in. Are they educational? Reality TV? Children’s channels? And so on. Do you really need the HDTV capability or not? Watch out for the three for one deals. Just because internet and phone are included in your television package, that doesn’t mean that it’s right for you/ You might not have a land line, or not like the speed of the internet at home. The same goes with introduction packages. These are typically limited with prices increasing in just a few months. The Oklahoma City movers recommend you really tailor your cable television package for you. If TV is a big part of your life, then invest a little more than if you barely turn it on. Custom make your television package and then shop around for providers in your area. Instead of having them offer you options, you tell them what you want and see what the price tag is on that. Then compare.

The Oklahoma Movers Help You Understand Lightbulbs

There is so much talk about lightbulbs lately, from the green trends and the saving money and everything in between. So All My Sons of Oklahoma thought they would help you notice the differences so you can make the best choice for you and your home. The most talked about are the incandescent compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), the halogens and the light-emitting diode (LEDs). The American Lighting Association says LEDs are the most expensive but are mercury-free. These can be used in other places other than fixtures and lamps. For a cheaper alternative, you can try the CFLs. CFLS appeared in the 80s in the market, they are said to reduce air and water pollution. The benefits are that they produce three to four times more light than the standard incandescent lights with the same amount of energy. Halogens last longer, up to 2,000 to 3,000 hours more and are very easy to replace. You can dim a halogen light which makes it last longer. The incandescent light is being slowly phased out because it uses so much energy. They are very cheap lights, usually less than a dollar of a bulb. There lifespan is low though with much of their energy ending up as heat. They don’ work in tandem with today’s efforts or being greener. The Oklahoma movers hope this blog post helps you choose the right lights for your home.

Secure Your Home With Apps

If you recently moved into a home and are looking into setting up security, there are number of ways you can do that such as high-security locks, alarm systems, proudly displaying your ’beware of dog’ sign, cameras and more. But All My Sons of Oklahoma found out that the latest in home security is all about technology.
Generally, thieves won’t go into your home if they think someone is there and the latest security systems mimic just that. Home security today can manipulate lighting, sound and video to simulate the way people live. That way thieves will think someone’s home even if your family is on vacation.
Apparently some systems can even learn your personal day-to-day patterns such as when you typically turn on your television, when you turn on the lights and so on. You can program a doorbell linked to a sound system what will trigger the sound of a dog barking or even a human voice. Much more technological then the good old ‘ beware of dog’ sign.
The Oklahoma movers found out many of these systems can be managed from afar, remotely, from a smart phone app. The Wiser company offers a free iPhone app called the Wiser Home Controller to help people control their Wiser C-Bus home automation technology system while they’re away. The app lets homeowners turn on lights, sprinklers, air-conditioning, the audio system and even the security system itself.
Another product on the app market is the video surveillance app from AtHome Camera for an iPhone and iPod Touch. For about $8 you can connect the app to the streaming server on your home computer and see the video live from webcams in different areas of the house. You can start, stop and record images on your iPhone and program the server t send an email when motion detection is triggered.
Fake TV, a small plug-in unit, can mimic a real television complete with motion and color changes, it fades and flickers just like 27-inch TV. This gives passers-by the impression someone is home.

America’s Most Expensive Homes: Part 2

For this blog posting, All My Sons of Oklahoma is continuing to report on America’s most expensive homes as listed on MSN.com. America’s Most Expensive Homes: Part 1

For this blog posting, All My Sons of Oklahoma City wanted to report on America’s most expensive homes as listed on MSN.com. These homes are so grandiose and luxurious that they even have names. The first one is an English-style mansion called The Manor and is located in Holmby Hills, California. Candy Spelling put this home on the market back in 2008 for $150 million. It’s 56, 500 square feet and has plenty of amenities including a bowling alley, a wine cellar, rooms for gift-wrapping, a library, a gym, and a media room. It also has 4.6 acres that boat a pool, landscaped gardens, a waterfall and a parking lot good for 100 cars. Fleur de Lys in Beverly Hills is the next home on America’s Most Expensive Homes list. This 35,000 square feet home is priced at $125 million and is allegedly remodeled after Versailles. It has 12 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, a 50-seat screening room, Italian marble and gold-embossed leather walls. The Tranquility Estate in Lake Tahoe in Nevada is third on the list at $100 million. It’s owned by the co-founder of famous clothing line Tommy Hilfiger. It has a cigar lounge, an art studio, a gym, even a golf course, boathouse and a staircase the replicates the stairs of the S.S. titanic.

Home Buying Mistakes

The All My Sons of Oklahoma are here to help with a few common mistakes people make when they’re in the home buying and moving process so you don’t have to repeat the same faux-pas. Don’t apply for any new credit between the time that you’ve applied for a loan and your closing date. Try to pay for things with the available cash you have until you actually get the loan. Don’t have any non-payroll check go into your bank account within two months of closing that’s over than $500. Non-payroll deposit is viewed as ‘sourced’ so you’ll need to show where it comes from and that’s it’s yours. Deposit money before you actually apply for the loan. The Oklahoma movers also remind you not to change any jobs while you’re in the buying process. If it’s an absolute must because the opportunity as well as the salary are to good to pass up, discuss your situation with your mortgage lender. Also, if you’re paying off a collection account that’s more than a year old , even though that’s logically a positive thing, it will affect your score negatively. Even if you feel ready to move in somewhere, because you feel it’s your dream home, don’t make an offer until you see several homes, between 10 and 12 of them at least. You’ll get a good sense of what you want by comparing them to each other and will be more in tune with what you really want.
When you’re ready to move in, don’t forget the Oklahoma movers and our professional moving services at an affordable price. For more information on real estate and moving, visit our All My Sons of Oklahoma website.

Tips For Buying at Foreclosure Auctions

There are still many foreclosed properties out there that are being sold at auctions. In order to get a good deal, the Oklahoma City movers remind you that you need to do your homework before attending the auction. Know about the neighborhoods, what comparables are going for, the status of the home and how many repairs it will need. Typically, there are open houses so would-be buyers can check out the foreclosed homes before attending the auction. If you’ve never been to an auction before, it might be wiser to start at a smaller one and get familiar with the process so you don’t get lost in between bidding wars. The Oklahoma City moving specialists recommend you also bring a significant of money in a certified check made to your own name to show you’re really serious about purchasing the foreclosed home. If you end up buying a property you sign over that check to the auction company and if you don’t, you can redeposit it back into your account. Large auctions have mortgage companies on site, but you, as a buyer, can go to our own lender if you choose to.

Downtown Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City’s downtown area has gone through a major renewal creating new venues and attractions even in the Bricktown and Midtown areas. Several condominiums and apartment buildings were built downtown and even older buildings were converted to apartment complexes and hotels. For example, in 2006, the historic Colcord Building (the first skyscraper in Oklahoma City) became a boutique hotel. The former warehouse district, Bricktown, today is synonymous with entertainment. For a great time, the Oklahoma city movers suggest you head to this happening and bustling area. It’s filled with restaurants, nightclubs, live music venues and upscale retail shops. The AT & T Bricktown Ballpark, home to the Oklahoma Redhawks) is there as well and the Bricktown Canal. For a different kind of fun, the local Oklahoma City moving specialist suggest going to the Red Pin Bowling Lounge in lower Bricktown.
Don’t forget if you’d like to move to Oklahoma City, your All My Sons of Oklahoma City movers are your best choice. We’re professional movers offering reliable moving services at an affordable price. Flooring In a Home

If you just moved into a new home and are in the midst of renovating and changing/upgrading some of the features, flooring might be a good thing to change. Flooring will evoke a different look and feeling altogether, polishing up the entire house. There are so many types of flooring out there, but there’s certainly one kind that’s best for you and your family. Also, depending on where you live and the year-round weather, flooring can affect how comfortable you are at home. For example, in locations where colder weather is more prevalent, lush carpet in the house can be a great idea. It keeps everyone’s feet warm and comfortable. Tiles on the other hand can be very cold and can be uncomfortable in certain cooler places. But, now imagine carpet in Florida, no need for it really, even though you’ll find it in many homes because of the cost-savings. For flooring ideas, check out the ones the Oklahoma City movers have seen in recent residential moves: Hardwood floors, laminate floors, bamboo, stone, tiles including ceramic or porcelain, carpet, marble, linoleum sheet flooring, just to name a few. You really have a lot to choose from, so have fun with it. The Oklahoma City moving specialists suggest you get a professional to install your floors so you won’t have to deal with unreliable handymen.

Home Air Pollution

All My Sons of Oklahoma City with the help of TheDailyGreen.com are here to let you know about surprising sources of home air pollution. Besides the obvious like cigarette smoke, air purifiers is another one. Even though companies say they kill mold and bacteria, what they don’t say it that they do that with a mega-dose of ozone. Ozone is the chief component of smog. It can scar lung tissue, trigger asthma attacks, cause coughing fits and lead to permanent damage. Paint can also pollute your home. Lead paint is banned for about 30 years now, but older homes might still have it on their walls. If the paint deteriorates, cracks and peels of, the particles can become lead-tainted dust. So when moving into a new home, ask the inspector to find out about the paint. Carpets and rugs are also another source. The Oklahoma City movers found out that it can harbor dirt, dust mites, pet dander, dirt, fungus, and other unhealthy particles that can irritate the lungs. Cabinets and furniture can have formaldehyde in them especially furnishings with pressed wood. Cooking on a stove, particularly a gas stove, without turning on the fan can actually introduce unsafe levels of nitrogen dioxide into the air, increasing the risk of asthma attacks and other respiratory illness. The Oklahoma City moving specialists hope we helped make your home safer.

Decorating Your Children’s Rooms

If you just moved into a new home and are in the process of decorating the place and putting in your own personal touches, All My Sons of Oklahoma City can help with the childrens’ bedrooms. There are some basic decorating tips that can really liven up your kids’ rooms and make your home even more cozy and inviting. If you have the time and patience to paint, choosing a soothing paint color for the walls can be great for the kids and help them stay calm and even help them sleep. The Oklahoma City movers suggest personalizing their bedrooms by hanging pictures of them and even of their siblings. You can also experiment with size and really blow up one of their favorite pictures and hang different parts of it in separate frames to make an overall big piece of art with them as the star. If the kids are at an age where they’re starting to read and write, hanging a very big chalkboard on the wall can act as a decorative piece (which they can also draw on) and be an educational tool also. Placing a rocking chair is also a great idea, it will encourage and promote story-telling.

Decorate your Home

According to an article on AOLNews, your iPhone can be your next interior decorator. All My Sons of Oklahoma found out that MyDeco has released an iPhone app that increases the reality of your living space with fancy digital furniture. “Furnish Your Photo” is available for free on the iTunes store and lets users scroll through over 500 3D models of home décor objects from the stylish and generic to the designer brand furniture like B &B Italia Modular Sofas. So tanks to this new MyDeco app you can see what your living room will look like with a pool table in it, what your bedroom will look like with a fancy lamp and so on.

The Oklahoma City movers think it’s great for people who just moved into a new space because they can have fun with decorating instead of seeing it as a chore. Once you pick an item you like, you can transpose it into one of the photos you took with the program’s camera. Five controls allow you to move the piece of furniture around, from foreground to background, up and down and zoom in or out. Once you like it he way the item is displayed, you can save the image in the photo library and email it to yourself or someone else or even post it on Facebook for your friends advice.

…to anyone that needs a professional team of movers who know exactly what they’re doing. They move really fast but at the same time there are very careful with your belongings. All My Sons of Oklahoma City even wrapped some of my stuff to protect it even more. Trust me, once my things were in my apartment about 25 miles from where I use to live, nothing was scratched. Habits of Organized People

When people move, they tend, at least for the first few months, to want to keep everything around the house clean and organized. Kind of like keeping a new car, clean for the a little while. According to msn.com, people who tend to be organized have several habits that are in common. So All My Sons of Oklahoma City thought they would share some of these habits with you, our blog readers. Walking away from bargains is one of the tips mentioned. The reason being that when things are at a great price, we think ‘let’s buy’ even though we might not have a purpose for it. Things then accumulate and before you know it you’ve got clutter. Then moving companies like All My Sons of Oklahoma City are moving things for you that you’ll probably end up throwing away anyways. Don’t label too many things around the house miscellaneous. You’ll end up with piles of boxes with a mix of so many items like files, electric wires, phone book, a random calendar and so on. You’ll never know what is actually in the miscellaneous box. Declutter regularly. Every few months, take the time to look through your home for surplus things that take extra space. By doing this regularly, you won’t end up with too much of it.

Does Your Home Have Enough Insurance?

Even though your home is insured, it might be underinsured. According to an insurance-service firm called MSB, 68% of homeowners are underinsured by an average of 18%. And where homes and rebuilding costs are high, this percentage can be even higher. Most homeowners have a ‘guaranteed replacement’ or ‘extended replacement’ policies, but virtually all insurers cap their payouts at 100% to 150%. What you could do is use web-based tools to figure out an estimate of your replacement costs and then compare those with what’s in your insurance policy. All My Sons of Oklahoma City also learnt that natural disasters like floods and earthquakes aren’t covered by your home owners insurance, so if you’re in an area that’s ‘high risk’, you should get additional insurance from a special windstorm-coverage pool. Another tip is to verify your homeowners policy to see if your insurer will provide you with money to pay your rent and living expenses while your home is being re-built after it was damaged. Check on your ‘replacement cost’ cash value too. Many insurance policies restrict the amount you’d get to replace stuff or even exclude common household items. The Oklahoma City movers say the very best thing to do when it comes to your homeowners insurance is to really actually read and understand the contract between you and your insurer. If you understand what you are getting in return for what you’re paying, then you’ll have no surprises in the future. And if you’d like more coverage, you can always ask for it.

Sell Your Home Easily Then Move

Many people are trying to sell their homes these days and the market is really competitive, but the Oklahoma City movers are here with a few tips to help you sell it faster so you can move out and get the place you really want. Price of course is a major factor. Make sure it’s in the competitive zone, especially if you have direct competition across the street. Find comparables and list it in relation to that. You can also offer your potential buyers incentives, like paying for the closing costs yourself, help with paying the movers or even throw in some furniture or decorative pieces. Holding Open Houses regularly can also help. You’re inviting people to view your place in a casual way and they’ll feel comfortable with asking you questions. Have some refreshments out and even a few business cards with your name and phone number with the address of your place or even a picture. The business card can also be the one of your realtor if you’re working with one. Which leads the Oklahoma City movers to another point. Working with a professional realtor might sell your house faster. They generally have a good grasp of the market and have a network of friends, buyers, sellers that they can tap into.

Find Your Dream Home Online

According to an article on ObserveToday.com, since 2001, the number of home buyers who found the home they eventually purchased on the internet has risen from 8% to 32%. Real estate agents still lead when it comes to selling homes with 40% of buyers saying an agent helped them found their dream home, but the internet is really changing the ways people are selling property and how people are buying it. The internet offers photos, details, information but the article continues to say that realtors help complete the sale of the homes and also offer a human touch to the entire process. For sale signs on a property are still selling homes and remain steady as a marketing tool, but the biggest drop-off in home sales origination is in the ‘for sale by owner’ category, dropping from 4% to 2%. It seems like people are more confident in dealing with a realtor who’s state-licensed than with an individual owner.
If you’ve found your perfect house and are looking to move soon, get on the internet and onto the All My Sons of Oklahoma City website for a free moving quote. Our local and professional Oklahoma City movers can help you move stress-free and efficiently. We’re a reputable local moving company with moving specialists who get the job done.

Home Insurance 101

When you’re moving, the Oklahoma City local movers, would like to remind you that you should be thinking about the type of home insurance you’ll get to protect your investment. Understand that not all home insurance coverage is alike and that there are pros and cons to each one. However it is a necessity and your property should be insured, and most likely if you have a mortgage, your lender will require it. Even though insurance policies can be different, one thing you should look for is to ‘cover’ the most for the least amount of dollars. There are a few packages you can choose from. There’s the HO-1 home insurance which offers protection against fire, theft and certain types of liability. HO-2 is more extensive and protects against damage due to broken pipes, the weight of ice and snow and broken water heaters. HO-3 gives even more protection including the other things listed above, but excludes incidents like earthquakes, floods, nuclear accidents and wars. You could always enlist the help of an insurance broker to help you decide which home insurance is best for you and your family. All My Sons of Oklahoma City hopes that this helps with understanding how to purchase a home insurance.
